Early Monday Morning

Very early Monday Morning. Mark walked over to check on my Dad while he is on the phone and you can hear the disappointment and despair in his voice. The houses across the street lost power, or the power was shut off, not quite sure because my parents did not lose power until sometime early Friday morning or late Thursday evening. My parent's neighbor Andre had only 2 inches for most of the time but there was 3 sump pumps running and it became a losing battle when the water starting flowing into his home.

At this time, I believe the water was over the washer and dryer and all my mother's decoration bins were floating. The electricity and gas was still on.
